We empower others with the tools to be healthy, economically empowered & safe.
At the Work It Well Project we believe that intergenerational wellness is the keystone to healthy families, and that is why we developed the Grandmothers In Tech, Exploration & Entrepreneurship initiative. This program is designed for older adults to build skills in technology. This is especially important during the current COVID19 pandemic, where so much of our personal and professional connections happen online.
The GITEE program goals include computer competency programs that range from basic skills, to advancing a career path that strengthens income potential. Simultaneously, this program bolsters diversity in the Tech industry, training young and innovative older grandmothers who can offer an incredible amount of experience and wisdom to companies and/or to their generations. Funding will allow us to grow our partnerships, provide the most up to date curriculum, and the ability to reach more grandmothers who are ready to gain new skills and make a difference in their careers, lives and families.
All grandmothers matter to us. We want all grandmothers to be healthy, economically empowered, up to speed with technology and inspired to win for them and the generations following their lead. GITEE is a unique initiative where old and young grandmothers unite and participate in an empowerment program. Our objective is to unite & inspire vulnerable populations of young and innovative grandmothers with skills development, economic empowerment, health and wellness, as well as resources. We want to assist grandmothers in staying current with today's fast growing technology advancements in an effort to keep them and their families healthy, economically empowered and safe.
The WIP introduces young and older grandmothers who are also raising their grandchildren, to technology career explorations. We teach entrepreneurship as a supplement. We provide health and wellness tools and teaches COVID19 safety protocols, as well as provides resources to those adversely affected by the pandemic.
We want to make grandmothers great again by helping them reach their goals and stay relevant. We desire to aid our grandmothers who are our leaders by right of age, who have fallen behind or may fall through cracks in a society that under appreciates our elders. Our Grandmothers In Tech Exploration and Entrepreneurship (GITEE) program, provides direct services to young and old grandmothers.
One woman who went through our program returned to the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom and grandmother. We gave her job training and professional development skills, including technology skills so that she would be relevant in today’s modern workplace.
Your contribution will enable us to help keep grandmothers up to
speed, well, economically empowered and safe.
We support Grandmothers in order to see them economically empowered, healthy and safe in order to thrive.
